County Line Road Bridge (Replaced/Rebuilt)

This project was one of the original reasons that Mayor Mickey ran for office; with over 180,000 cars that drive by on I-55, he felt it would help brand the village name and location for the benefit of the Village Center, village businesses and all residents. On the federal list to replace, aesthetic upgrades were added under previous Mayor Gary Grasso and the village board.  Mickey’s fears that the bridge over I-55 wouldn’t get built came to fruition when IDOT officially cancelled/postponed the project right before he took office. The County Line Road Bridge was completely removed, replaced and made safer between June 2014 and August 2015 and serves as a symbol of unity and teamwork that connects the northern and southern portions of the village!
